One day a friend, who lives in the Alaskan tundra, was visiting Austin. He’s Upik (eskimo). He was sharing his story of village life, hunting seal, snapping the necks of geese, etc., when I excitedly interrupted with a burning question, “so–what are Real Estate values like there?”
He replied, “We just live on the land. If someone needs a home, we find a place that works with everyone in the village and then help them build a house there.”
Why don’t we do that here?
